Description
GWR 5100 Class 2-6-2T No. 4160 and Warship Class 42 D832 stand coupled on parallel tracks at Minehead Station. The steam locomotive vents gently, its brass fittings and red buffer beam catching the light. The diesel sits clean and purposeful, its bold yellow front marking a later era of design. Behind them, wooded hills rise above the station and heritage coaches wait quietly. The image records a moment of balance where two generations of railway technology meet, static yet full of latent movement, under clear summer skies on the West Somerset Railway.
