Description
This photograph shows a winter stream running through Exmoor woodland. Water moves steadily through a narrow channel, shaped by stone, fallen branches, and time. Thick moss coats the logs and rocks, vivid green against rusted leaves and damp earth. The long exposure smooths the current, turning movement into form. Ferns rise from the banks, resilient despite the cold. The forest closes in around the stream, creating a sheltered, intimate space. Light is muted, filtered by bare branches above. The image speaks of persistence, erosion, and balance. Water works patiently. Nature holds its ground.
